Andy is a senior technologist with recent background as a Developer Relations professional.
Andy was the senior Developer Advocate on Twitter's API and developer platform for nine years. Prior to that role, Andy was Developer Advocate for Cloud Foundry, the OSS Platform-as-a-Service, at VMware/Pivotal. Earlier, Andy spent 10 years at IBM; and 4 years at the UK Post Office, enabling the company to navigate the challenges of Y2K. Andy has over 20 years of experience with Linux, and with contributing to Open Source projects. Andy was a leading member of the MQTT Open Source community for five years, and took an active role in building the developer ecosystem. Andy has 20+ years of experience as a coder, and in collaborating with and supporting developer communities. Andy earned an M.A. in Modern History from Brasenose College, Oxford, and is a Certified IT Professional member of the bcs, as well as being a member of the Open Source Initiative (OSI), and the EFF.
